Experiential Group
A monthly experiential group for professionals and trainees interested in understanding group dynamics through participation and reflection. Held in person at London Bridge, the group offers space to explore relationships, patterns and processes from a Group Analytic perspective.
Why an Experiential Group?
Many aspects of group life—belonging, authority, inclusion, exclusion, silence, conflict and connection—can only truly be understood by participating in them. From a Group Analytic perspective, the group becomes a living social environment in which familiar ways of relating naturally emerge.
Working with people means working with relationships. Whether you are a counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist, mental health practitioner, social worker, coach, or simply someone with a curiosity about groups, much of what happens in our professional and personal lives unfolds in relation to others.
This experiential group offers an opportunity to participate in a regular group process from a Group Analytic perspective. Rather than learning about groups through theory alone, members are invited to experience the dynamics of a group firsthand, developing a richer understanding of themselves, others, and the complex relational processes that emerge whenever people come together.
The group is both experiential and therapeutic in the sense that personal reflection, emotional experience and interpersonal learning are central to the work. However, it is not a psychotherapy group and is not intended as a substitute for personal therapy. Instead, it provides a reflective space for learning through participation, dialogue and observation.
